Next BoE chief Carney says clear framework key to policy success Apr 25th 2013, 00:03 OTTAWA (Reuters) - The next Bank of England governor Mark Carney said on Wednesday a key lesson he will bring from Canada to his new job is the need for clear objectives and communication about what exactly the central bank aims to achieve with its policies. Carney, who steps down as Bank of Canada chief in June to take over at the Bank of England in July, said that during the 2008-09 recession in Canada, having a well-understood inflation target helped policy makers explain directly to Canadians how they planned to stimulate the economy and boosted confidence. ...
