"Strong Japan" to promote stability, no threat to Asia: Onodera Jun 1st 2013, 05:55 By John O'Callaghan SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Japan is strengthening its economy and military to play a responsible international role, Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said on Saturday, seeking to defuse suspicion of neighbors scarred by its attacks and occupations last century.
